Safe Golf

Surrey is a SafeGolf accredited county and adheres to the SafeGolf guidelines.

The SLCGA takes its responsibility for the safety and welfare of players, coaches, employees, volunteers and the wider golfing community very seriously.  It is our mission to safeguard the welfare of children and young people, as well as adults at risk.  Our aim is to ensure that all people have a fun, safe and positive experience when playing golf.

In conjunction with the Surrey men, the SLCGA has put in place the necessary safeguarding training and policies to ensure the protection and safety of all those involved with golf in the county. All coaches used on our programmes have an up-to-date DBS certificate, Safeguarding and protecting Children certificates and have appropriate insurance in place to deliver training.

Members of SafeGolf include England Golf, Wales Golf, Scottish Golf, Confederation of Golf in Ireland, The Professional Golfers’ Association, Ladies European Tour, The Golf Foundation, Golf Club Managers’ Association, the British and international Golf Greenkeepers Association and the R&A.
