Phil Taylor - Pachesham Park

SLCGA are delighted to have received 12 Sun Mountain Superlite Golf Bags, from Phil Taylor PGA Professional at Pachesham Park Golf Centre. These bags, which are in Surrey Pink, have been sponsored by The CT Trophy and will be used for the Senior and Junior Teams representing Surrey at their County Week in 2008. Phil and his brother Chris started the Pachesham Golf Centre 14 years ago. The Cee Tee Trophy was set up in memory of his brother Chris who passed away in 2002, after a long battle with acute cardio miopathy, which also took the lives of Phil’s sister and mother at an early age. 28 golfers of varying standard head off to Les Bordes, France each year and play for a claret jug. The main event is an individual Stableford; Ronan Rafferty, Phil and his son are amongst the past winners. A formal dinner and an auction follow the event, which is where money is raised. A twelve-seater coach is ready to be donated to the Variety Club of Great Britain, who raise funds for disadvantaged children. SLCGA are most grateful and would like to thank Phil for his generosity. We hope that this year’s event, to be held in the middle of September, is a great success.
