held at Cuddington Golf Club on Friday, 7th April 2006
The warmth of the welcome extended by Cuddington Golf Club to Surrey Junior Girls for their Championship made Friday, 7th April a very special day. The weather was mixed, a bit of everything, but mostly dry. The course was quite beautiful with the spring blossom just beginning to come through. 27 girls took part, 11 in the 36 hole championship and 16 in the Spring Meeting and 9 hole stableford. A very big THANK YOU to all you girls who took part. I do hope you enjoyed the day whatever the score. Remember there's always another day!!!
The highlight of the day was a LADIES COURSE RECORD of 71 gross scored by Kirsty Rands in the first 18 holes. What a wonderful feat for Kirsty and brilliant for us to tell the world how good our Surrey girls are! Keep it up. Kirsty then went on to score 74 in the second 18, a gross total of 145 which is one under par gross for the 36 holes! WOW.
In the stableford 18 holes, Zoe Crouch playing off 26 scored 50 (yest that's right!) stableford points making a nett 59! Her handicap was cut to 20!!
